In an effort to capture the interest of consumers between the age of 13 and 17, Mike & Ike, a brand of chewy fruit flavored candies, is splitting up the pair.  To revive the almost 75 year old brand and increase sales, the Elevator Group based in Scituate, Mass., has developed a campaign that includes new product packaging, social media, television, and outdoor advertising.  The campaign is expected to last approximately one year at which time it will be reveled if the pair will reunite in the end.

The outdoor advertising component of the campaign was slated to begin this month.  While it is still early in the month for Carroll Media’s OutdoorAdVault image captures, several markets have already submitted images of the Mike & Ike units.  Denver, Minneapolis, New York, and Phoenix have submitted images of bulletins, posters, and subway car cards of the campaign.  More images are expected to be submitted over the course of the month from the other 20 markets that currently submit advertising images on a monthly basis via OutdoorAdVault.

Carroll Media Services currently has over 140 field professionals in 94+ North American markets.  The primary function of the CMS field staff is to assist advertisers in site selection (pre-rides) and monitor compliance/proof of performance for National and Regional Out of Home advertising campaigns.  The OutdoorAdVault service is a supplemental service that allows CMS to have a timely and relevant snapshot of OOH in 24 US markets at any given time.
